Counseling/Psychology
Southwestern Assemblies of God University provides undergraduate degrees in counseling psychology that prepare you for a career in a variety of mental health settings. The counseling and psychology programs at SAGU view human personality and mental health issues from a biblical perspective. You will learn to understand and articulate these issues in a current mental health field. Through practical, hands-on experience and classroom instruction you will receive a solid foundation for a fulfilling career.
You will learn from faculty who have graduate degrees in Theology, Counseling or Psychology and are credentialed ministers. Each has served as a pastor or minister as well as a counselor or psychologist in non-profit settings, private agencies, hospitals, or clinical settings.
Professional Organizations & Memberships
SAGU is a member of the Psi-Chi Honor Society, an organization for students interested in the fiedl of Psychology. Psi-Chi promotes the integration of Christian, Pentecostal perspectives in the ministry of counseling or psychology and encourages interaction within the psychology profession.
