Mission Statement
The Learning Centers have been established by the university in harmony with its commitment to academic excellence and exists for the purpose of instructional assistance and academic support to the entire university community.
Philosophy
The Southwestern Learning Centers are part of the academic program of Southwestern Assemblies of God University and are open to all students of the University. The Learning Centers educational programs are founded upon the biblical principle that example and modeling are two of the most powerful tools for change. If one’s peers (tutors) are academic achievers and exemplary students, one will try harder academically. Therefore, the peer tutor concept is the “heart of the instructional program.”
