Founders Bookstore, the campus bookstore at SAGU, recently announced that they have hired Lee Northup as the new manager for the SAGU location. Most recently, Lee served the SAGU School of Distance Education office as the Office Coordinator. She has previously worked at the Ivy Tech Community College bookstore, which serves 6000 students, for five years. While there, Northup developed a complete system for all the Distance Education student orders. She trained all temporary personnel who helped during rush times and developed a training manual for their use. Northup was also responsible for the sales floor and problem solving for the store. Northup has also served as the manager of the Church Supply Department for a Parable bookstore, which is a large chain of Christian bookstores. She has over 30 years of experience in various administrative positions with a variety of responsibilities. “I am looking forward to this new challenge,” commented Northup. “I also am looking forward to serving the SAGU staff, North Texas District and the Waxahachie community.” Lee and her husband moved to the Waxahachie area in July 2006. She is pursuing a master’s degree in Bible and Theology at SAGU. The couple has two grown children. Their son, Wayne, is an Assemblies of God evangelist and married to Kristi, who is a worship leader, speaker, and musician. Their daughter, Angela, lives in the Minneapolis area where she works for a large medical center as a medical coder. They also have a two-year-old granddaughter, Libby. According to Jimmie Lamb and the Business and Finance office at SAGU, “We look forward to working with Lee as the new manager. Her experience working in the Distance Education Office, as well as her previous bookstore experience, will enable her to lead the Founders staff in excellent service to SAGU's faculty and students.” |
