On May 9-10, SAGU hosted the Assemblies of God North Texas District Fine Arts Festival.  The Fine Arts Festival, held on both district and national levels, offers junior high and high school students the opportunity to discover and develop their gifts.  SAGU offers scholarships for Fine Arts participants, which vary according to rating and level.

There were approximately 2500 in attendance at the North Texas Fine Arts Festival.  Students participated in fifty-two Fine Arts categories within the seven main divisions of Art, Communication, Drama, Exhibition, Instrumental, Vocal, and Writing.  National Fine Arts Festival will be held in Charlotte, North Carolina, August 4-8.

SAGU hosts a number of camps throughout the summer.  Other events scheduled for 2008 include the ACTS competition, Fellowship of Christian Cheerleaders camps, New Breed Youth Camp, SAGU Mega Camp, GLAD North Region Youth Camp, and 220 Leadership camp.
