SAGU hosted the 93rd North Texas District Council June 8-12, 2008.  North Texas is one of SAGU’s supporting districts.  It is their mission to partner with the local church through nurturing and mentoring leaders, providing resources and equipping the church to reach, disciple and multiply.

The theme for the 2008 council was “Hit the Mark.”  The council included various activities, such as opportunities for fellowship, worship services and business meetings.  Activities included a SAGU alumni reception on Monday evening.

Both morning and evening services were held during the council.  An array of worship teams, from a variety of churches in the district, led worship for the services.  Speakers included A/G General Superintendent Dr. George Wood, A/G Director of U.S. Mission Zollie Smith, District Superintendent Rick DuBose, and Assistant District Superintendent/Missions Director Gaylan Claunch.
