June 23-27 SAGU hosted the annual NewBreed Network summer youth conference.  Speakers for the 2008 conference included Allen Hickman, Mark Jobe, Richard Hinojosa and Todd Goodwin with the Kari Jobe band and Bruce Menefee leading worship.  There were 885 students, sponsors, and counselors from twenty-four groups at the conference.

The NewBreed Network is a ministry that has been birthed out of a desire to walk in the things of God that He has prepared for this generation.  According to the organization’s website, “It is our heart to network both youth and youth leaders alike to walk in the fullness and power of the Holy Spirit with character and integrity, establishing and releasing His Kingdom in the world.  We desire to see young people born again, filled with the Holy Spirit, founded in the Word and ways of God, and released under authority to minister.”

The conference included various daytime activities in addition to powerful evening services, including games, competitions, recreation and a giant waterslide.  Tuesday and Wednesday of the conference also included workshops on numerous spiritual topics.
