The SAGU campus family would like to congratulate Drs. Bruce Rosdahl, Skip Redd, and Jonathan Schultz on completing their respective doctoral programs this summer.

Bible and Theology professor Bruce Rosdahl’s Ph.D. will be officially conferred in August by Dallas Theological Seminary.  Rosdahl’s dissertation, entitled “The Doctrine of Sanctification in the Assemblies of God,” is a historical analysis of what the Assemblies of God has taught concerning sanctification and how it has changed through the years.

Dr. Skip Redd, Communication Arts Department Chair &Director of Media Services, earned his Ph. D. in Communication Arts from Regent University.  His dissertation discusses “Lived Experiences, Televangelism, and American Media: Lessons Learned from Individuals’ Reflections and Media Accounts about the PTL Scandal.”  Focusing on the convergence of media and religion within contemporary culture, the stories of participants who lived through the experience of the PTL scandal, along with the media’s representation of the phenomenon are analyzed within Redd’s dissertation as a means of constructing meaning about the communicative behavior as well as identifying lessons learned about communication for ministers.

Business professor Dr. Jonathan D. Schultz completed his Business Management degree through Argosy University in Sarasota, Florida.  Schultz’s dissertation is entitled “The relationship between organizational values and management behaviors and their influence on organizational effectiveness in higher education” and investigates the congruence of organizational values established by top level leaders being exhibited in the behaviors of middle level managers in Assemblies of God Higher Education and the impact of those behaviors upon organizational effectiveness.
