![]() The spiritual atmosphere of SAGU distinguishes it from other campuses, and regular chapel worship services are a vital part of that atmosphere. During Spiritual Saturation Week, daytime classes are shortened and evening services are added to allow more time to meet with God corporately. This emphasis includes impactful preaching, powerful worship, and intense altar times and sets the spiritual tone for the rest of the school year. Worship for Spiritual Saturation 2008 is being led by Oscar Ortiz in the morning services and Kari Jobe in the evening services. The week and special emphasis commenced Monday, September 8, with special speaker Chris Murdoch, West Texas District Youth Director (DYD), in the morning service, who challenged students to live an extraordinary life. Michael Fernandez, GLAD DYD, spoke in the evening service on “The Unnamed Hero.” Tuesday morning, South Texas DYD Marty Burroughs spoke to students about the necessity of forgiveness. North Texas DYD Jon Catron spoke in the Tuesday evening service. In the Wednesday morning service Louisiana DYD Allen Chapin spoke on “Just One More Look.” The Wednesday evening service will feature Oklahoma DYD Doug Everaard and Spiritual Saturation Week will conclude with Mississippi DYD Raymond Mizelle on Thursday. Click here for full audio of the sermons. The audio for the all of the sermons from Spiritual Saturation Week will be up by next week. |
