SAGU provides higher education for a higher purpose, as it has since its inception. According to founder P.C. Nelson, “Our school is a place where Pentecostal people may send their children for training, not only for Christian service, but for other callings in life. For a good Bible training is a foundation which all need no matter what their occupation.” Through the years, countless individuals have received that spiritual foundation at Southwestern and have spanned the globe in their various vocational roles.

Southwestern Foundation provides the financial foundation for SAGU. A strong financial foundation ensures stability in an uncertain economic situation. Individuals who support SAGU also support its students. The Southwestern Foundation helps pay for student scholarships, building campaigns, academic departments, and much more.

The President’s Society was created for alumni and friends who have put SAGU in their estate, regardless of the amount ($1,000 or $1 Million). The amount of gifting remains entirely confidential unless an individual chooses otherwise.

President’s Society members are invited to attend member-only special events. These events allow SAGU to express appreciation to member donors for their generosity. Events include a special lunch with the president and vice-presidents during Homecoming and special previews of new buildings and future capital campaigns. Members also receive an athletic game pass card that provides access to all SAGU home games and invitations to the Board of Regents dinner, the Missions Banquet, and the annual Scholarship Awards luncheon. These special event opportunities allow members to come together and share their vision and experiences with one another.
