- The SAGU defense was tough allowing on 34% shooting for JCC in the game.
Lion Review
- Mason was a matchup nightmare all night for JCC. He found the open space at the high-post and picked JCC apart. He was able to score or find his teammates down low for easy baskets.
- The game was called tightly by the officials and it became a free-throw shooting contest early in each half. If there was one downside for the Lions, it was their free-throw shooting. SAGU shot an abysmal 31% from the line.
- JCC was able to stick around throughout the game by forcing SAGU into 27 turnovers and capitalizing at the free-throw line as they converted on 15-17 (88%) attempts.
- JCC had no answers for the SAGU post players. The Lions dominated the inside by claiming a 55-29 advantage in rebounding.
