Participants submit creative works and compete in 50+ categories in art, communication, dance, drama, exhibition, instrumental, vocal, writing and more. Students are evaluated in each category and given feedback to improve their gifts and talents. Those receiving high marks will also receive scholarships from SAGU.
SAGU’s Vice President for Enrollment Eddie Davis says, “We are honored to host this event on our campus. Regional Fine Arts provides a great opportunity for high school students from our region to develop their gifts and talents and have experts in those areas speak into their lives. It’s also a great opportunity for students to compete for scholarships which will help them fulfill their college ambitions.”
Along with competitions, SAGU hosted workshops from faculty and staff regarding the language of music, how the music industry works, a short sermon master class and vocal instruction.
