Bearett Wolverton serves as the Lead Pastor at Grace Covenant Church in South San Francisco, CA. Bearett is a member of the Evangelical Homiletics Society and has a passion for all things related to preaching and crafting sermons. In 2018, Bearett had the privilege to present a research paper to the Evangelical Homiletics Society. Bearett ’ s current research focuses on preaching and attention spans. As a pastor, Bearett has the opportunity to preach on a weekly basis and apply his research directly to his sermons.

Background

Bearett Wolverton is a Waxahachie native. During his time at SAGU, Bearett served as a Youth Pastor at First Assembly of God in Waco, TX. Upon graduating in 2009, Bearett joined the staff at First Assembly of God in Brazoria, TX. He married fellow SAGU graduate, Jennifer (Webb) Wolverton in 2011 and they have 2 children (Jennaleigh and Jude). After serving for several years in youth ministry, Bearett felt called to pursue higher theological education and enrolled at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary where he completed his Master of Divinity in 2017. He now serves as Lead Pastor of Grace Covenant Church in South San Francisco, CA and plans to pursue a PhD in Homiletics at some point in the future.
